Look at last sentence....
A two-star, 130-room hotel is also designed, “offering an ideal solution for employees to bring their families on vacation”.
This means that only during vacation they will allow family? Do labour have any vacantion here? Will labour salary (QR 600 per month) be enough to bring families?
good move by Barwa....everyone deserves a decent living environment.
jack.. not only Barwa's projects are 'glitz-glitzy'.. all Qatar is about it.. by the way, are you sure you are aware of other Barwa projects to decide whether they are glitz-glitzy or not? at least Barwa tries to do something...

Are they expecting the contracting companies ...to put their labour there & pay those rents to Barwa?
They must be too optistimic.
I guess it will finally be let out to families.
Of all the glitz-glitzy projects the most sensible have been this one and Barwa Housing.
Still they are aiming this at the wrong market segment (contracting labour staff).
These contracting companies dont pay their labour, wages on time (if at all) and Barwa expects rent from them....lol

I think it's an excellent idea - decent living environment (hopefully affordable), better conditions than what it is now. That shows caring for the plight of the workers.

should not take it like this... instead of putting everybody in the same location and making it crowdy, its a good thinking to built separate places...
