Why not house share and have pool/maid etc ?

Why do people not house share. It appears that many single and double bed apartments are expensive. some expats have quality accom provided but others have allowances only. superb villa with pool etc would be easier. Any thoughts anyone?

thanks..had a look and appears to be pretty basic. Reckon it should be own room etc
