I would like to know about certain formalities of visit visa. I am issued visit visa on 20/01/2009 which is valid upto 20/04/09. sponser is my husband who is working in doha. At present i am in india.I need to book tickets on the basis of your answers.
My enquiry is regarding:

1. Due to unavoidable situation i need to go back to india in april and i am required in india
for one month. whether my present visit visa gets cancelled?
when i can apply again?
Is there any complications in it as my spouse's company is planning to give us family
visa later?

2. If i didnt come to doha in the present visit visa, whether i will be able to get visit visa again
in the month of may/june or when?
whether i can extend the present visa if i didnt come now and extend the travel till
may/june as i didnt enter Qatar ,
if i can, till how long i can extend the visa.

Kindly reply to my enquiry as soon as possible.PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE

forgot to add:

First visit visa is ALWAYS ONE MONTH. It can be extended ONLY after medical examination in National Health Authority Qatar.

1. Family visit visa is SINGLE ENTRY.

2. It can be extended for 6 months MAXIMUM, that too SINGLE ENTRY.

3. If you exit anytime either during the first visit visa of one month validity, OR extended visit visa of 5 months (total 6 months including first one month visit visa), you need NEW FAMILY VISIT VISA - again SINGLE ENTRY only given.

4. So, in your case, if you definitely need to exit, better to come later on new visit visa

Visit visa is valid only for once entry, once u enter Qatar u can be here for a month as most of visit visas are valid for 1 month. once you r here u can extend it upto 3 months. after 3 months it gets lapsed so u need to leave the country.

for your next visit u can come back with a fresh visit visa. your present visa validity can not be extended beyond given date. in case u dont make it on time this visa is not valid.

Family visit visa initially issuing to 1 month and can be extended up to 6 months. Normally visit visa ends when the person leaves the Qatar. I heard some option is available to leave the qatar and return back on the same visa( reentry permit or some thing like that). You can change the family visit visa to resident visa while u are staying in qatar. For visit visa once expired it need 6 months to get new one but you will get family resident visa if eligible.
