I need some advice..

My cousin has moved from Dubai to Qatar. He was driving with a Abu Dhabi Liscense. He met with an Accident with a Qatari Guy. He was taken to the Police Station and then was transferred to Umm Salaha and spent one night in JAIL..ha ha ha.

Next day was taken to the Criminal court somewhere at Corniche...he paid a penalty of QR 500. We tried to talk to a senior Captain there. He said mostly the case will be withdrawn coz nobody is injured...but might need to pay some more penalty...He also paid all the repair charges for Qatari's Car. He went for his short leave to India and came back without any problems in Exiting and re-entering Qatar...he is on a Resident Permit..

Now what could be the possibility of him having any more appearings in the court or the case being still open...Any Help will be appreciated.

A GCC driver's license needs to be replaced by a Qatari one a few months after the RP, he just can't keep driving using it.
