valentines day last year i got sony vaio laptop & samsung mobile from my admirer he told me that i need those things to communicate him, that was the last gift i recieve before he passaway.

That dead angel is the wrong way round! Its body appears to be lying flat on its front yet its hands are upward...rather bizarre!
Take her/him to very romantic nice dinner possible with champagne or wine then take them home, surprise them with rose's petal lay all over the bed and leading up to bathtub full with flower petal, have a nice bath together and continue to..... hhmmmmm you can picture yourself what happen next...... happy valentine day to your loved one.

This year I went with a bottle of personalized wine for my significant other (you can search for a company that does it, or go to personalwine.com). You get to completely customize a label and place it on a nice bottle of wine...can't really go wrong. Also went with an etched box, and velvet bag. I would post pictures, but the great thing about this kind of gift is that it's completely personalized (I had an *interesting* photo that was taken on our second date put on a cabernet).
Anyway, this applies creativity, ingenuity, *and* nostalgia. I think it's a show of expression, and if it's really the thought that counts then this won't hit your wallet hard (unless you want it to).

I've given my Girlfriend a bracelet (not for V-Day, though, but last Christmas 2008). I wanted to give her a Swarovski item, but there were no good designs during that time. Hopefully, this coming Valentine's Day. ;)

last year I received a ring....for this year well maybe an escape somewhere out of here....somewhere romantic...greece or dubai or anywhere else :P
try flowers and a nice "only for two" dinner just spend time together, listen to each other (just listen do not try to give solutions or answer to everything is said or you will spoil the moment) and enjoy. Enjoy life...it's too short....just enjoy!!!

The worst Valentine's gift i was given-the last Valentine's day i was given an expensive parfum with the explanation that it is usualy used for the dead bodies!! Maybe you can imagine my face in this moment! Later i found out what is it,but if i have to be honest i've never use it......
