Lol, I'm gonna drag this thread back up in July when you're all whining about the heat :-D

Granted, it's cold in the house, but outside the daytime highs are lovely. 20-21 degrees.

Just put my daughter on a plane back to the Eastern US, where the HIGH will be 2 degrees and the low -10, yes minus 10, and snow in the forecast.

THAT'S cold!

Yeah.. not 2 or 3 degrees man... It's warmer than yesterday! We've been had! By yahoo weather. ...

Hey, I thought the weather forecasts in MY were commonly off the mark. Didn't know that weather forecasts here are also off the mark (notwithstanding that the meteorology depts are supposed to have all these fancy field-mode observation equipment.)

whadayamean this saturday??? It's ALREADY freezing!

/Had first gastric attack day before yesterday evening - I didn't eat much of the hot and spicy fixed lunch pack menu for dinner but well.. and the cold aggravated it. Tummy was already in spasms and the cold just nearly did me in... Luckily, I had most of my meds with me - I'm a walking personal pharmacy. Didn't work as well as in warm, sunny MY so had to scramble for something akin to xellox the next day. Some of my colleagues confirmed that I looked like sh*t at the office.

//Edit - stress is the major trigger factor but compounded by the spicy food and cold weather.

Ayayai!... before I arrived here in August last year, I asked my HR whether it snows here in winter and/or how cold would it be here. He said usually 10 degrees and above but never know, I might just bring the snow with me. Well... not quite snow but apparently, I brought the freezing temps with me. :0( He said "Welcome to Qatar."

Yeah, Oryx. I feel like hibernating throughout winter. Now I know what the polar bears feel like, just curl up and zzzz. Sigh! What luxury...

I just got a halogen one from Carrefore (I think it was the one in Landmark). It's awesome! I spent about 200 Qrs on a radiator heater which is about as much use as a chocolate teapot and this one was only 40ish.. Wish I'd just bought a couple of these instead.
