U shud consider buying something else from INDIA. If you calculate the tax (probably 100%) and the cost of maintainence, and the petrol consumption of these cars, u might wanna think again about this decision.
its the TATA bus u find all over in Qatar... and remember TATA owns Range Rover, Jaguar now.. also dont forget TATA has the corus.... TATA is sponsoring the F1 team which HONDA couldnt afford anymore...... so TATA is for the world not only INDIA>..... cheers.Shyams

As far as i know u cannot ship cars older than 3-5 years old... Because of the Anti-dumping laws... Also if u get permssion in vintage categories u will have to pay around 100-150% tax ont the value of the car when in new.
Things can be easier if ur actually quiting residence in qatar.
There is a lot of factor in which u shud'nt take this risk
1. U wont get good maintainance
2. INdia is right Hand side driving. Difficut for u to over take in Highways.
3. there are better cars on indian roads now.. Now that all the cars are being made in india... from nissan to BMW and merc.. toyota...
