Hi,
I feel that qatar is lagging behind with other GCC states when compared to administrative affairs, like for eg processing of a family visa takes weeks to months, whereas in other states its only a day or two to issue a family visa, what do you think its taking so much time, when administrative machinery here in qatar is small.Your opinions plz

Overall it is better here in dealing with Government Agencies.

Try other GCC and you would see / feel the difference.

GOOD LUCK!!

Buddy, have you ever try to get a family visa first in any of other GCC!!? the answer is definitely not..all other GCC including Emirates are checking your backgrounds and your capability and it takes a month or two, here in Qatar they check your capability of living standards of Qatar living in with your family..are u capable enough to handle the cost of living if your family joined you based on your income coz the life in Qatar is unlike the other GCC it's Un-fortunately high and expensive, they are doing on behalf of you and to assure that you're able to provide your family a good living standards and a respectfull life and to collect all this information it doesn't take more than a week time. but if it's happened to you..!!! i guess it's better to check back your company's background or it's representative what's wrong if you haven't get the family visa so far or it's being late to be issued.

Only the exception is Dubai. Situation in Saudi and Muscat seems to be more verse. The problem of here is your PRO. They are the one who drag.Beeing my experience the all Govt services here are far and far better comparing with other GCC.
