How is the following tentative compensation?
I am considering an interview in Qatar, but I'm not sure about the tentative package that was brought up. I just want to see what people think of the following compensation for someone coming from the US:
Profession - telecom/wireless product/program management
Education: BS in engineering, master's in engineering, MBA - all from US universities.
Tentative salary offered: 20,000 QAR
All the other perks provided(housing, tickets, children education, transportation allowance).
What is the range for salaries in biz dev/product/program management roles in the telecom/wireless industry in Qatar? From reading the forums, I'm not sure if I can have a comfortable lifestyle in Qatar and being able to have good savings. Any thoughts/ideas/advice/info is highly appreciated.

Having the housing and education tuition paid for, then I think u are in a good position. Spending 50% of ur salary and saving the other 50 will keep some cash flow in ur account by the end of the year.
saving 10,000 QR that is almost 2,800.00 ( two thousand eight hundred dollars ) I could not save that much when I wroked in the States.
2800X12= $33,600.00 this is a very good down payment for a nice single house regardless of the location.
REMEMBER: TAX FREE NO IRS FOR SOMETIMES
Generally speaking, it's a good package if the cash is 15-25% above what you are making/can make in the US. Since they give you housing, transportation, etc, your living level will be better in Doha (at that $ you are tax free.)
