i drove out there the other day and it was very nice. got there around 4, and stayed till about 5. the best hint i got for directions was the person that said it is next to shahniyya sports place. as u drive past it, you'll start seeing a bunch of trees n flowers on ur left. the sign to the place is small and nearly covered with trees, so when u see an opening into what looks like it must be an oasis of some sort..go in.

Following this thread and others on QL, I decided to drive there and see if I can find it (OK, didn't have much today on a Fri).

Heading towards Dukhan from the Tilted R/W, once you pass Qatar Foundation, you need to go roughly about 20 more KM, it was not bad of a drive actually.

The exact Google Earth Coordinates for the place are: 25°22'18.10"N 51°14'21.92"E (currently map on Google Earth map is not up-to-date, construction is completed).

Unfortunately it was closed when I got there, so I cannot comment on prices or what they have. They are open Sat-Thur from 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and from 3:00 PM -5:00 PM. Friday till 9:00 only.

Now that you have the coordinates and roughly where it is, you can navigate your way to find it. You won't be able to spot it easily from the main road.

There are couple of garden centers in a row beside fruit & vegetable market at Salwa road ..

When you go towards Shahaniya from Ryyan it is at your righthand side. When you climb the flyover that is after you pass the Sheik Faisal Museum take immediate right and come back 500 meters on the service road (Parallel to the main road) it is next to Shahaniya Sports Club. You will find a small board Arab Qatari Agriculture company something like that. The timings are 7.00-12.30 & 2.00-4.00. I'm not so sure about the afternoon timings. They also sell some fresh vegitables that they produce in the farm. You will find variety of plants there. They are also cheap compared to the ones that you get here in Doha. I went there a couple of months back. hummmm... need to go again..

I like the arab agriculture Center... many kinds of plants can be found ...still can bargain for the best price ... and delivery at your home with very nice conditions.

The Arab Agriculture Center out the Dukhan road near the

Shayniya roundabout, they have tons of houseplants and outdoor plants that are very healthy at reasonable prices. Worth the drive out there if you need more than one plant, huge selection. Recently bought tons of petunias and some poinsettas as well.

For indoor & outdoor plants you should go to the Omani souq or the various garden shop near the wholesale market.

To get there, go from Ramada over the bridge to Qatar Decoration roundabout. Go back towards Midmac and take the first street onto the sliproad. After Bukanan Furniture turn right. Now you are on the street that has many garden centres on your left. The omani souq is the hangar looking structurre on your right when you go over the 1e speed bump.

Check out the places before you buy as they have differences in prices. Specially at the Omani souq where I find the prices are over the top, but they have more choice.
