Will be in Qatar very soon, but it will be quite a while before my car is shipped in. What is the rental car situation there? Will be given an office car, but that's limited to to-and-from work only. Would like to begin exploring as soon as I hit the ground. Suggestions? What's public transportation like?

i think the guy asked about rental cars :o and did not say that he is going to use the pulic transportaion .. which we all agree is a real mess :S

i am currently renting a car from first rent a car its a small one Mitsubishi Lancer ..

2006-2007

fairly in a good condition costs QR 1700/-

until u get your car shipped i think its gonna be a good solution ... unless u r thinking of something larger like an SUV

Qatar has to work a lot of public transportation, it is not good. Living Without car in Qatar is very very difficult.
