URGENT INFORMATION about sponsering live out maid required
Hi
I hope someone out there can help me. I have never sponsered anyone before. My husband is going to sponser a maid for me. She is live out. At the moment she has a visit visa which expires on the 12th december.
Can anyone tell me what documents I need, where I need to go and so on..
please reply asap
I dont think that she could renew the 6 months family visa. she might have to exit or she'll pay a penalty per day. dont worry about the processing of visa its not that complicated, having the right documents,as i said on my 1st post.the contract is not that important, its just a formality between you and ur maid. believe me,for ive been there; done that. goodluck!
I know 12th is short notice and eid hols are around the corner. She is here on a visit visa which she extended to six months. Can she extend it for a fornight or so more? Is that possible or is six months the limit?
Thanks for all your replies.
She has a husband here already and lives with him that why she wants to live out. For myself I dont really like the idea of a strange woman in my house.
We know her and think she should be ok. If they run away we just cancel her sponsership i suppose. oh it is so frustrating not knowing correct proceedures. Why isnt there an informaiton bureau for these issues. If you phone the departments half dont understand you and the other half we dont understand.
You have to first obtain an approval from immigration to sponsor a maid.
Then U have to apply for her visa
Depending on the nationality of the maid, a contract needs to be signed between U and the maid based on a minimu salary specified by her country.
Then her Embassy should attest it
Why live out?
Most probably she will run away ASAP, as usual (in Doha)
Also your husband needs to show his marriage certificate as well. OTHERWISE he wont get the approvel for visa
One more thing: Dec.12 is a very short date you must consider the Eid Holiday. You have 2 options, rush things out for the visa application and let her have an exit first..
Here's a partial info that i know.
1.) Your husbands NOC from his company allowing him to sponsor a maid.
2.) A copy of his iqama and passport
3.)His salary certificate
4.) your maids passport copy
5.) An NOC from her visit visa sponsor.
Having all this documents you go to the immigration dept. to apply a visa for her. I am not quite sure which comes first, Immigration or LAbor Dept. But above info's are true.
