Hi,Is there any law in Qatar to have pets?'cos some kids in our apartment building keep a stray kitten and feed it.The kitten lives in the public area and the poop tray also stays inside.Which is very unhygenic and unpleasant.Help!!Thanks.

Thanks for the comments.Well I dont think I should talk to the landlord since the cat been moved to the apartment.Could see the kids play with the kitten in the public area and it looks very healthy and happy. And of course the tenants:)

My Health vs. Stray Kitten

hmmmmm - My health - good for you! I'm glad you managed to move the kitten into their home and out of the way.

If I was put in that situation, I would have complained to the landlord and gotten the kitten out of the whole building.

Hi thank you very much for all the answers, specially xena and caliph.Kids should be thought to take care of the pet as well as not to be inconciderate to other people.I was in a situation where I have to jump over the litter tray where it scattered all over every morning. And they only clean it rarely. It is a disrespect to the kitten(ohh forget about the tenants).Good news is I managed to move the kitten in to their apartment so that they all can live happily ever after.

I think these children should be given credit for being so caring and thoughtful...

Tell you what ishani.... why don't you come down to our rescue shelter, and sleep in our stray cat room.... that way you can know what its like to be smelling the litter trays of 30 cats... and they get chanced every 2 days...

Complaining of 1 little kitten.... oi.... some people...

Sorry, but I just don't get the likes of you....

dear friend

it should be appreciated that children are feeding the cat. here most of the garbage bins are kept closed and cats are not getting the food. More than that at least these kittens are loved by some children which is very often in qatar. You can ask those who are feeding them about cleaning the tray daily or ask them to move them in any other empty area of your building so that it won't be visible every time. you can inform them in a pleasing way. please do not harm them.

The cats over here have a very hard life!

Please just ask for the Litter tray to be moved outside! and anyway if someone cleans out the litter tray regularly then there should be no problem with it!!!

You really want to rob these children of their pet?

Let the poor kitten stay there, and just ask the people to remove the litter box, or place it out of sight or clean it more often. If you clean a litterbox every other day, there are no smells.

You want to report someone for rescuing a stray cat? How nice of you. Why don't you just wring the cats neck. Problem solved.

Or better yet, just ask them not to keep the litter tray in the public area.

i think you should report it your landlord and tell them that your neighbor is making the place unhygienic with their pet kitten.
