Is this Haram or Halal for Islam?

Life on the farm isn't what it used to be. The green pastures and idyllic barnyard scenes portrayed in children's books have been replaced by windowless sheds, tiny crates, wire cages, and other confinement systems integral to what is now known as "factory farming."

Today the majority of farmed animals are:

* confined to the point that they can barely move,
* denied veterinary care,
* mutilated without painkillers,
* and finally slaughtered -- often while fully conscious.

Fortunately, each one of us has the power to help end this suffering by simply choosing to eat vegetarian.

Please kindly refer to the video on the below address:
http://www.chooseveg.com/animal-cruelty.asp

After you watch the movie, please kindly answer this question below:

If the way they slaughtered the animals is like that, are the meat of chicken, turkey, cow and mutton still HALAL for a moslem to be consume? Please kindly give me your comment..

My message to the government of Qatar:
Please.. Never import a meat from the west even they have a halal certificate..

As you can see in the videoclip there's also a video of Pilgrim's Pride, the supplier of KFC.. Is this Pilgrim's Pride also supply Qatar's KFC?

There is one type of sheep in Kashmir which grows very fleshy bums!

Once the bums grow big and fat. The farmer chops of the bums for meat and gives a bandage dressing to the sheep. After a few days the buns grow again and the farmer cuts it again. And this carries on and on. And their buttocks grow very fast.

I don't know the name of this curious animal. But I am sure it exists.

Isn't it really funny and crude?

I haven't looked at the trailer but, does anybody belive that all animals are cruelly slaughtered? Veggies are morons, what about the plants rights? They also have fealings, don't they suffer when someone rips off their fruits?

Human beings are omnivorous and not veggie, through out all known history we never were vegetarians.

Apparently the mark of a civilization is how they treat animals!!! Please note that most people on the whole can defend themselves in some way - Animals cannot(from humans)

that's a rude comment! May I asked human rights here or anywhere else here GCC. Don't start something that will trigger a "painful" discussion. I am not American nor Israeli and I also despise many of their actions, but do not generalize it as you said!

the case is not Animal Rights !! the case is our rights to eat Halal food

I think it is very silly to care about how animals are processed for feeding people while so many people are starving !!!

America and Israel are treating people less than animals and you are talking about animal rights ??

What about human rights ??????????????

To be honest I question the meat that is from this area.

Case in point, why is it that all the local eggs are not labelled - free range or organic (if you go to Mega Mart they do have them - from the UK). Also I appreciate that the animals have been killed in Halal way, but how have they been kept before? There is nothing to tell me or any openess about it. Hence the reason they cannot say the eggs are free range.

The Uk has some of the most stringent rights for animals - especially in the farming industry. In fact there has been animal protection legislation for over 100 years - I believe that Qatar has absolutely none, also do the countries which Qatar imports from have any - ie Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, UAE, they may have a few, but I am betting not many.

In actual fact the UK will not send meat here, because Qatar demands that it should be Halal and therefore want to slaughter the animals themselves - which I do understand and appreciate from a religious perspective.

However the UK puts very tight controls on the export of live animals and would not countenance such a long journey for them in uncertain conditions.

How can we find out how the animals are kept from farms around here - does anyone know?? I rather think there is no answer to that, therefore - I question local meat!

Do you know Seto, how many people will lose their job if everybody becomes vegetarian?

I won't be surprised if somebody will post here the danger of eating vegetable because of the method it is also produced, transported and sold in the market.

What do you think is the main reason of the owner/s of the website? Are they honestly believe that they are doing a good service?

Do you want people changed abruptly from being meat lovers to vegetarian? Are you suggesting that raise our own poultry and slaughter our own animals? Are these products going to GCC countries that you are so much concerned whether this is haram or halal?

slaughtering Halal Animals (Not including Pigs, Lions, Cats, Dogs, Tigers, Donkeys ....etc.)is the major Halal method of getting Animal's meat. In Islam there is some conditions that ensure that the Animal will never suffer in this case:

- Animal Should not recognize the weapon for long time.

- the Wepon used in this process MUST be EXETREMELY SHARP, and slaughtering should be executed in fast movement (very sharp blades does not cause pain, you can ask a Doctor but I'd experienced that on my own body).

OMG I can't believe these people...was this for real??? Much worse than a horror movie...how do the people that work in these farms sleep at night?

They definitelly convinced me to become a vegetarian... :-( Never liked meat too much anyway!

After seeing these clips, I have seen one barbaric animal slaughter video before, I made a pledge to myself that I will become a vegetarian. But after a month or so the effects wore off and I broke my pledge. This time Seto's video really shocked me. This time I have resolved to become a vegetarian like some of my relatives. Let's see how long I can resist temptation.

I was sick watching this video and was not able to see the whole clip. It is sad to see what the pass off as genuine 1st class products! I have not eaten meat nor chicken from the West for ages. Only local products. Even-though people might complain about the treatment animals receive here it is at least not as barbaric as seen in these clips. As the clip also says, become vegetarian, but then we face an other problem. All the genetically and force grown fruits and vegetables. Just look in the supermarkets what is on sale. Everything looks glowing and beautiful. But did you know there is no smell to the fruits anymore? As well as every fruit and vegetable is kept in cold stores until they get put on the shelves of the big supermarkets. Then because of the different temperature your fruit will look good on the shelve but the next day at home it starts rotting. Here as well, I buy my fruit and vegetables in the little corner shop, where the produce has been in room temperature and where they sell local products. Not are they better tasting but they are a lot cheaper too.

Don't import anything from the west.

The West is BAD, very, very bad.

Let the Moslems manufacture everything themselves.
