Hello everybody,

I most probably will get a job offer in qatar for an international hotel chain, and would like to know if the salary they are offering me will be enough.

Having mentioned this, accomodation, food, travel, transportation, health is all included. Monthly salary will be 4230 in doha currency, around 900 euros.

I will be manager in one of the restaurants... any help will be appreciated.

Just for info, i graduated from one of the top 3 hotel schools, been in the states and germany working. Its been 3 years since i graduated.

Thanks a lot!

Ask for 8.460 QR and 20 % increase per year to cope with inflation. Then you might enjoy it overhere.

I know of a cleaner in the Ramada who was getting QAR800 a month for a six working week. I remember asking to see the rooms, being shown round rooms which cost well over QAR1500 a night and feeling terribly embarrassed because I know that the chap showing me round must be earning a pittance.

David, if you are used to an American/German salary I do not think 4230 will be enough. Also bear in mind that inflation is 15% and salaries are often not raised in line with inflation, or not raised at all.
