GPRS Settings for Unlocked 3g Iphone

Ok, I've searched and searched and have been finding too many conflicting answers. I know I can use wi-fi on a 3G Iphone, but in the event Wi-Fi isn't available, I want to use QTEL's network (GPRS,EDGE, 3G--whatever). Is this even possible with the 3G Iphone? I know initially there are no settings for this, but I am curious if people have cracked it and found a way to make this work? Also, when I travel to Kuwait, Bahrain and Dubai, will the 3G services work there also?

Any help or info will be much appreciated.

I'm looking for these settings as well. I have tried to go to network settings and put the APN and password for the GPRS my self but it didn't work. I've read somewhere that the settings can be adjusted by going throw the iphones files on a PC and changing some settings in the preferences file but i don't know the exact way of how to do it.
