Official offer of employment

Hi All QLs,

This is my 1st post in this forum.

It has been 10 weeks since I receive an initial offer letter from a company in Qatar. I also completed a medical checkup and sent over the results to the company. I was told the next step should be an official offer of employment. Does it usually take this long for an offer letter to be received? As I follow-up with the company last 2 weeks, I was told it is in process.

Thank you for your kindness.

Thanks All for your kind response.

Then I can guess the waiting process is very long. I was told I need to go for a medical check-up in home country, which will be followed by another medical check-up once arrive in Qatar. But I am not sure at all, as I base everything on what the HR department asked me to do.

Ok, I will need ALOT of patients, like your advise :-)

Have a nice day everyone !

Hi,

if all is well, it would take longer than you want it to!

But eventualy all will come into place ..you need to have patients ( even if you are not a Doctor ).

Wish you all the best, and may all be ready by its time, and you will be here in Doha.

What I do not understand is the Medical...

As it is done here after you come...

Hope you did not pay any money to them to get your papers ready, if so...than I would say sorry man you've been had :-(

Yes, everything here seems to take 2-3 times longer than you can hope for or imagine! It's just the way it is. I can't remember how long it took for my husband's official letter but I think it was months. At least it seemed that way.
