Islamic playgroup for children
Assalamu alaikum
Im trying to start an islamic playgroup/islamic weekend school for children aged 4-6. It will be each saturday at my house for 3 hours. I am still looking for interested parents and an assistant to help with the teaching/clean up and so on. The subjects include, basic islamic studies on aqeedah, stories of the prophets and arabic (starting from the alphabet) if I can find an arabic teacher. Most of the time there will be a little art project at the end of each class. Say for example we are studying the story of musa then we can build a ship or something.
There will be a fee for each child that they have to pay at the beginning of each month, to help pay for the materials, and to give the teachers involved a little salary for their time and effort.

If there are enough students (at least 3, maximun 6) then InshaAllah the playgroup/playschool will start after Eid.

This is indeed a great idea, May Allah succeed you in it. My daughter is 7 years old. Do you have a strict criteria of not accepting children above 6? If not please give me the details..
InshaAllah the playgroup will start soon, so if anyone is interested please let me know so I can know how many children will be attending.
Alhamdulillah I am happy to hear that there are some people who are interested, InshaAllah I will find an assistant soon so we can get the group started.
Also I would like to ask you all what you expect from an islamic playgroup like this, do you have any ideas you would like to share, then please feel free to do so.
I am very interested in this project ! I have two kids of my own that I would love to put them in , 4 years and 5 years. I have tried calling so many places to put them in this type of enviroment where they would learn islam and arabic but I can't find ANY. may Allah reward you for this effort, we always love to do so but can't start it,, i will be so much interested but my kids ages are 6Y girl, 7Y boy and 3Y boy i don't know if you can accept the boys in this age 3 and 7,,
another issue is where do you live, since traffic nowadays became a big issue,,,
