education
I am one of the parent and my wards are studying in Birla Public school.
For the past few years, i have noticed that school is just adding to its numbers like now crossed 3000.
no quality only quanitity.
there are various no's.
1) quality of teachers not upto mark, most of them work only for salary and no personal care fo children.
2) no curricular activities/ sports for children mainly below class v.
3) School takes special fee ranging from 600 qr to 900 qr dependingon class for actvities but everytime, children are asked to bring money.
4) For annual day celebartions, children asked to bring 125 QR for taking par tin fucntion.
5) It is more of Kerala village school and many teachers speak malayalam with other children which is not correct for other indian children in same class.
6) No one even principal whois from delhi bother to improve the school standard and whole management is malayali.
I Wish this issue could be settled by a good punch-up in a boxing ring. It would be fun to watch them in a real fight!
I KNOW MOST OF THE BIRLA SCHOOL PARTNERS MOST OF THEM ARE BUSINESS MINDED THEY DON'T CARE OF EDUCATION THEY WANT MONEY I KNOW ONE OF THE PARTNER IS ENT CONSULTANT HIS CONSULTATION CHARGES IS VERY HIGH HE CANNOT SPARE POOR INDIAN NOR GIVE ANY CONCESSION HE WILL PREFER TO TREAT QATARI PATIENTS
Are you referring to your children when you say wards??
"Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock - Will Rogers"
We have nothing to do with who is running the school or which part of India they belong. As long as children's are getting quality education(at least what written in their prospectus),there should not be any problem. But in Birla children's english pronounciation is distorted, anybody can check this.
Dear. why are you cribbing?.
if you have any partnership with Birla school management, then it is ok, otherwise you are not justifying your status of a human being.
Schools are not to be run on commercial angle which Indian Constitution also says.
I am not sure if you are also like other Malayalis when any one ask them, where are you from and prompt reply from any malayali will be 'i am from kerala'' and no one will utter the word India.
So coming to gulf and working here or doing business does not mean, that one forget one's country.
Education is a fundamental right and please do not use the words like at the end of the day, one has to earn.
Earning has to be reasonable not that you empty the pockets of parents and with that money, spend on buying property, building hospitals in kerala.
God almighty is there to see.
Tell me how many words comprised was my reply and how many spelling mistakes could you spot?
If one is bent upon filtering out spelling mistaes then there will not be any end of it. I can also spot a few spelling as well as grammer mistakes in your comments that hardly conssists of less than 30 words.
There is no word UR. "...........kerala community for english" is grammatically wrong it should be ".........kerala community on english language".
Do you want to waste time finding out silly spelling mistakes or do you want to comprehed the meaning of a message?
It is also not understood that how come my spelling mistake tarnish the image of the entire Malayalee community?
For your benign knowledge I do not employ an editor to have fine editing done on what I have written about.
dear mohan menon
please check ur own english- regards is right word not reagards. that speak of the language command of kerala community for english.
good luck. enjoy galf.
Dear janeyjaney,
I wonder what your real prejudice is. Is it the standard of Education imparted in premier Indian schools in Doha is eroding or are you yet another hater of Malayalees as Malayalees are now fondly or admirably for reasons of many of their virtues been addressed in short as ‘Mallus’?
If former is the case, you must know that no educational institution of Indian Management runs here on charity. At the end of the day every Indian school is concerned what they are earning. Whereas regarding quality of education of these schools one must admit that more than three quarters of the teachers working in such schools are sponsored by their spouse. Teaching may not be their prime profession but by virtue of being in Qatar it is yet another job to a family. For quality education Indian schools in this part of the world are certainly not the best bet. To obtain quality education one has to look forward to sending ones children to India. Indian managed schools here have lot of constraints and they have to function within that limitation. However, we must be thankful to them at least we are fortunate to be able send our children in Qatar the right Examination board as prescribed by the Indian Educational system.
You wrote that - quote “………..a Kerala village school and teachers speak Malayalam which is not correct for other Indian children in same class………….whole management is malayali” – unquote”. If your concern is in the direction of the overwhelming presence of Malayalees in Middle East there is no panacea for it. Your aspersion towards Malayalee community is the outcome of sheer jealousy being nurtured by other Indian communities or people from the sub-continent against Malayalees. Have you ever been to a Kerala village school? Certainly your answer will be in the negative. If you ever come across a village school in Kerala, you would have a positive perception of Malayalee community in general and Malayalee teachers in particular. You will be surprised to see the importance attributed to education even in the remotest pockets of village life in Kerala.
It is akin that in a majority situation people is prone using their mother tongue. But Malayalee teachers are certainly not un-wise using Malayalam as the medium of instruction where the students comprised are multi linguists. One thing you might have failed to notice is that the so called we ‘Mallus’ hail from a state that prides in having one hundred percentage literacy! Your children might well be fortunate being taught by Malayalee teachers.
Reagrds,
Mohan Menon
This isn't the Birla Public School website, I think.
