Moving to Qatar in 2 weeks.
Hi all.....
I will be moving to Doha, Qatar from Dubai in 2 weeks time.
I have few questions:
1 - what is the avg. rent for a 1 bedroom in West Bay? non furnished? furnished?
2 - Should I ship my furniture or buy new from Qatar? I heard that the style and quality is not like Dubai, as we have Marline, Home center, The One...and IKEA?...what do you recommend?
3 - Planing to buy a new 4X4m what would you recommend? what is the best in Qatar as far as service, parts, resell, and dependable??

average rent is between 6000 to 12000

If your furniture is good ship it as it will be cheaper

Toyota has good resale value and quite dependable service with the agents sucks but there are many good garages who do a good job
im not sure about the rent, but i guess its cheaper than UAE
Home center, The One are available here in doha so u dont have to ship yours.
Land cruiser is the most common car in doha, ppl love it and it doesnt lose value, and the service and spare parts are cheap, but the dealership SUCKS big time and it drinks ALOOOOOOOT of gas
You also have Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Nissan Patrol ( have the same problem with gas ) , nissan Pathfinder and Mitsubishi Pajero ... thoes are the best, most common in doha and doesnt lose value ;)
