Hey all,

Lived in Qatar for over 10 years when I was younger, and have been applying for jobs for over 3 months now to try and move back there once again...not even a thanks but no thanks letter or call from any that I have applied for! Is this normal practice?

I have a degree in BA Hons Business/Marketing and over 7 years business experience in various fields, including a business start up in the UK.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated...I have even tried to contact old friends in Doha without any success...

I realise that often it is who you know and not what you know.....

Thanks all...

I would very much like to even receive a thanks but no thanks...

Anybody out there interested in getting my CV? I thought that having lived in Qatar for over 10 years, this might be a help to me as I knew more about the life, culture etc.

Any help much appreciated..any contacts..indeed anything..

Thanks

Hi guys,

Thanks for your advice. I will keep trying, but seems that it may be extremely hard to find a job in Qatar whilst still living in the UK?

I will keep trying though..never give up...

Yes, don't be discouraged, these things always take way longer than you would ever think. Go to as many sources as you can find - internet job sites, businesses, universities in Qatar (who are always looking to hire), friends. Come for a visit and see if you can set up some interviews. Try and try again, follow your dream. It may take some time but it will happen.
