h20 , instead of blatant advertising maybe you can introduce yourself to us. Why dont you join the QL'er and active posting in other topics and then you can tell them about your club when someone asked.

I met one of my friend today, she said she met an indian american lady that suppose to be the owner of the new swimming club in American School. Was it you?

Melissaphoto ... ah ... another newbie in Doha. Welcome to Doha lol.

Yes childcare here is quite difficult. Most of my girlfriends take a full time maid for extra help to look after their kid/s.

I am a full time mom myself, and i send my son to nursery when he is 20 mths old. I started with 3 times a week and a year later i send him full time 5 times a week.

Maybe you should do photography as your part time work , i am sure will be alot of people interested. I read sometimes back there is a lady in Dubai that doing it as a part time work. She dont do the printing, she only took some shots, doing some editing in the PC and give it to the customer in the CD. Her business doing really well. If i am not mistaken she is on EW Dubai Section under the name of 'hotshots' or something like that.

You will need sometimes to adjust yourself with Doha. If you never been to middle east you probably experience some cultural shock too ! Dont worry you will survive ! :)

If you need anything or want to ask anything ... feels free to drop me a PM (do be patient for the respond because i received numbers of the in daily basis and it taking sometimes for me to reply back one by one). Or alternatively you can just post a thread on here, i am sure others will be able to help you as well :)

Novita--I just saw a thread about family portraits.....I just arrived in Doha two days ago and am still trying to get adjusted. I do plan to hopefully continue with my photography here. One of the issues I need to get covered is childcare for my son, but I don't really want/need a live in nanny. I'm hoping for part-time or to share with someone, but it sounds like that is quite difficult.

melissa,

few days back i received a PM from this lady :

She asked about my recommendation places to do a nice family portrait. I never actually did any in Doha, i do my family photos only when we back to Jakarta. Maybe you can send her a PM and give her your link to your work? (i assuming you arriving in Qatar already?, how long you been here in Doha? i remember you posted in the other site and said that you still in the states?).

I am sorry for hijacking your thread lol.
