Christian-turned-Muslm vs Natural-Born Muslim
By heero_yuy2 •
Y'know I gotta delete that 'i' in the Muslim part to get all the words in the title heading...
Inspired (is it the proper word for it?) from some...'messages' with Platao in the other thread, I thought I'd like to know there seems to be a little difference in tone of the practice or belief of a Christian who got converted into Muslim and a natural-born one.
Well, easily put logic, if a man who's so used to living like a Christian and then change a religion, it's probably a hard task to suddenly 'implement' one belief from another...specially when two of the most important books of these religions have a different sense of virtue practice.
why when one side quit, the other has to start it again ...
I second the emotions Alexa ... it's really getting annoying more and more ... Out of curiosity I opened an account in ILQ to check it out ...
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. (Gautama Buddha)
mmmmm ok, they have the potential to be extremely anal about the issue!
SN and for the rest of that don't could you elaborate?
They call it the American dream because you have to be asleep to see it... --George Carlin
The converted are like ex smokers......as I always state! anyone that knows an ex smoker will know what I mean!
Hero: Thanks for the reference to my name ;)
Now about being muslim by choice or born muslim, like i have stated here, if i marry my love, i'll convert to Islam because my love for her is superior to the hate that her familly could have for her for marrying a non muslim, besides that her country also offends her by calling her certain names just because she's going out with a foreigner?
Just to clarify, i ain't a christan but a monotheist, the same religion as Abraham and Mohamed. I do belive in God, but don't belive in elitism, meaning that some are favourites and all the others are wrong.
As someone stated already in this forum, some non muslim are better muslims than the ones that proclaim to be muslims, when i say non muslim i don't mean people that are christian turned muslim but ppl that aren't or never were muslims.
Like police officer stated on the other post, God loves us all no matter race, religion or social class.

I am you and you are me, if you love i love, if you suffer i suffer

Well...Heero, the way i see it, I dont feel there is a need to compare and contrast one person's belief with another's. Belief/faith is a personal thing and I dont understand why any one should judge, criticise or analyse anyone else's belief. Donno how it is about you.

At the end of our life our questions are simple: Did I live fully? Did I love well?
the prophet, pbuh, said: "if a man believes in Isa (jesus) and then in me, he will get double the reward."
---Life is Fragile, Handle with Prayer---
Allah (All glory & prais to him only) said in the Quaran, to tell the desbelivers "My religion is for me, your religion is for you".
More over the world exists with only one power. its GOD in English & Allah (All glory & prais to him only) in Arabic.
As MagicDrogan mentioned Islam is an "advancement". Yes Isalm indeed an "ADVANCEMENT" of the belivers in ONENESS. I am born Christian embraced Islam BY CHOICE and Performing my way of life for Allah.
But born musilms are BY CHANCE, out of them how many are living as a real muslim ??????????????????
Nobody is perfect, heero.
But for some reasons, some people separate (or disallowed, is it?) the supposed-to-be references from their own understanding and practice...

Come on heero, if I'm not mistaken then Qur'an refers to both the Bible and the Torah, and becoming a Muslim means to "advance". You don't learn much new things, because the basic attitude towards God and life is the same.
Here goes heero again!. The other day with ur thread abt classic movies, I thought u finally started posting some sense, but ure back to what u do best- making up crazy topics.
It's ok, Alexa. You can ignore if you want. Easy.
I also got friends like these back home and I think I can see the 'hints'...and I have to voice out a bit to see if I'm right or wrong with the analyses...
