I have driven SUV's for a few years without problems.. I think the main thing is that you have to realise that they are not cars.. They have different centre of gravity and handle differently..

Many people buy trucks, SUV's as "status" symbols.

The key comment in the article at the end sums it up..

Nobody do listen MD.. as long as the vehicle can go from 0-100 miles in 10 sec that will be a great buy.. plus the amenities that you can put your feet up while driving will be the added bonus.
