Sharing accomodation ?

Hi all, I will be moving to Doha in a month and are doing some pre-departure research here at QL. Seems like the rentals are very high in Doha and i am actually thinking of taking up a SHARED accomodation when i'm there (meaning renting a stand-alone room in a villa, which i've seen a lot of advert about this).

Will it be troublesome and inconvenience to rent this type of accomodation ?

If you plan to move to Doha or anywhere else in the world there is no such thing as being "inconvenient" as you need to get used to the kind of life that awaits you outside your home country. Living in a stand-alone room in a villa is just ok, or living on a shared accomodation is also fine, because most of the expats here do the same thing just to save money and avoid high rental costs. However, usually the employer gives an accomodation to its employees, but if your package is on "live-out" basis, there are lots of ads daily on the newspaper for available rooms or shared accomodations that are more cheaper.

Goodluck and all the best to you.
