Anybody having problems with skype ?

Help I'm not very up on all this modern technology !!! Been having problems when making international calls using skype, both to landlines and to another pc. Suddenly the person at the other end can only hear "interference" so we have to terminate call and try again. Sometimes we can stay on a call for an hour , other times only a few seconds. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem ? It's getting very annoying !

I think it's just at busy times, I get the same problems and have tried a number of different pc's / laptops and still get the same problem.
