Ok to take photos on corniche?

I am wondering if its ok to take some photos on the corniche and will I get harrased by police or something.

I was thinking of waking up right after dawn and head to the corniche where I can capture some nice photos of the boats and landscapes but not sure if its allowed.

ALso if other people are interested we can make it a group assignment, meet somewhere and go for shooting together.

Thanks

Also be careful taking pictures of people. Arabic women and some older people are not fans of having their photos taken. You should always ask their permission.

Take a look at my pics in Doha:

As long as there are no signs saying "No Photo" and it's not a goverment (military) establishment you should be fine.

Not too interested st the 'dawn' idea though ;o)

Try joining the Qatar Living Photography Group : http://www.qatarliving.com/group/qatar-living-photography

You'll find lots of people who'd be interested in organising a photo shoot. I believe they had one at the Corniche last year.
