Girls (Novi, SN, etc) stop reading now.

Guys, Kick off any second now. Chelski vs Totteringham.

Predictions please?

Will Spurs upset Chelski (I hope so) or will Stratty be crying into his Heineken tonight?

My prediction 3-0 to the Blues

I really like Big Sam.. I think the Newcastle episode and the negative press has probably ruined his career..

I would love to see him back at a big club..

By Stratty• 4 Sep 2008 23:53
Stratty

I was thinking about Big Sam the other day. Its such a shame, he was brilliant at Bolton; maybe Crawley boy's right, the club are cursed.

By britexpat• 4 Sep 2008 23:24
britexpat

They should never have sacked Alardyce..I bet they bring in a foreign manager next..

That should go down well with the Geordies..

By goodlookin• 4 Sep 2008 23:16
goodlookin

That club is cursed!

By Stratty• 4 Sep 2008 22:55
Stratty

I'm not bothered :) Anyway, they'd probably agree, no man's bigger than the club!

My sister used to think that when you were relegated from Division 4 you went to the Scottish league as that was how the results were read out each week :o)

name drop or not, interest or not, in 1973 your brother in law (once removed of course) ensured that romance in football is not dead!!!!

By China Syndrome• 31 Aug 2008 18:56
China Syndrome

until it comes to football!!!!

I would like to see a combine league, in the long run it can only benefit the Scottish clubs regarding quality and experience, then they might be able to beat the Faroe Islands on a regular basis.

It would also give an added dimension as we have now, North v South, Scottish clubs v English clubs!!!

By jauntie• 31 Aug 2008 18:51
jauntie

but I have absolutely no interest in football, whether North of Hadrian's or South.

I just like to name drop. :D

By britexpat• 31 Aug 2008 18:50
britexpat

I have a really good Scottish pal who supports Hearts.. Nice guy, but every time he talks about coming to visit, he says "when we come accross the border"...

No Englishman thinks of England / Scotland having a border..

By China Syndrome• 31 Aug 2008 18:36
China Syndrome

are we getting on to Scottish v English football here?

No offence to Scottish fans, but there is no contest. Well, not until the Scottish clubs are exposed to something more than 'amatuer' football.

How can Rangers or even Celtic consider themselves worthy of contesting in the Premiership? OK, maybe a few wins against the relegation teams etc, but certainly not to compete for Europe!!

By Stratty• 31 Aug 2008 18:33
Stratty

Shall I tell y'all? Sunderland 79, Villa 81? Thought it might have stuck in the minds of poor United fans?

By britexpat• 31 Aug 2008 17:37

Funny story about that.. I watched the game and cried my eyes out when Sunderland won..My GHrandad who was staying with us , gave me a clout round the ear, because he thought it sissy for someone to cry over a footy match..
