Do u think that is it appreciable the Heavy fine system by traffic violation - in the concept of Islam (Shareeath)??

People are coming here to earn more and fulfill their ambitions.

But people are soooo worried about the Heavy penalty by the traffic violations. Especially the low waged drivers.

Most of them are not violating traffic rules purposely.
But some times they may trapped..

So they are loosing the major part of there income. If any driver got penalty if he enter unknowingly wrong direction...(Penalty for Driving a vehicle in the opposite (wrong) direction.QR.6000) ??

Just see how he can pay that much with a salary 1000QR?

what is your opinion regarding this heavy fine system in the concept of Islam?

My friend, the traffic penalties and their corresponding monetary fines do not have anything to do with religion. They are merely disciplinary actions imposed on drivers who seem not to learn proper safe driving. It is minimizing accidents and deaths due to vehicular accidents, if not eradicating these occurences. All countries impose certain rules and regulations and corresponding corrective actions. Since we are in Qatar, we should go by the rules of their State. And personally, I think the rules are just fair.

Don't really understand what has Islamic Shareeah to do with Traffic Rules. Traffic Department is not asking to pay fine for obeying Traffic Rules.

If you can't pay the fine, drive carefully and obey traffic rules. I have no pity for people who are fined heavily. The rules are pretty straight forward and fair.

With regards to people whose wages are low they should be 10 times more careful when driving instead of crying after driving .

Obey the Rules or face consequences.

Regarding the heavy traffic fine, I feel that it is needed to save human life. You can see the report from Traffic Department that the number of accidents came down drastically as a result of this new rule. However count down numbering system should be introduced in each signal so that the drivers can plan well in advance.

Cutting the palm of hands for robbery is the correct punishment. If the Shariah laws is implemended in all parts of the world then the life here in this world will be more peaceful.

I am more than a year living in Qatar and have seen too many drivers who don't know how to drive. It's very easy to get driving license in Qatar so many people find it very easy to get a driving license and get a low waged salary. Unfortunately they don't realize that they are playing with others life. I do believe the penalties here still too low. Should increase at least twice...

I guess in a system that allows the chopping of a hand for theft then any fine would be preferable! How about chop off 1 wheel for speeding, 2 wheels for running a red light!

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
