Actually i changed the idea for the shoot because most parents have a problem with this idea, but they still want me to take pictures of their children..

and since i'm looking for models to take pictures of to build my photography portfolio, i came up with three ideas the parents can select for their kids pictures:

1- Qatari Traditional photography session:

where I'm going to take pictures of the children wearing Qatari clothing, jewelry...etc

clothes and props will be provided by me.

2-Funky and natural style shots:

colorful shots with kids wearing grown ups clothes: like shoes, purses, ties, jewelry and some shots of the child pretending to play a musical instrument. It's all about creativity and having fun!

3-The Classic Session:

These are the best for girl, as i'm going to use plaster pedestal, classic style chairs, flowers, angel wings, classic dresses, tutut and ballerina clothes as a prop..

Clothes can be chosen by the parents or I can bring the child clothes that would match with the prop if the parent likes.

-Location:

shots will be taken at My house near the mall. There is a private room with a changing area so you can change your children clothing..

-If the parents decide to bring the child's clothes, these are the things they should put in mind...

What to wear:

Clothing is a critical part of making a wonderful photographs. I often suggest that people wear casual, classic clothing, free of pattern prints or logos. Solid, either very dark or light shirts work well with khaki or denim and mazimize contrast and drama.

Bring your facorite cable knit sweater or linen dress...textures create wonderful detail in photographs.

I work to capture your expressions, so don't let clothing get in the way of an already flawless subject!

If you want some help ahead of time, let me know and i can point you to some online resources for the type of clothes your child can wear.

Extra stuff you can bring:

Under this category is where you and your imagination comes in. I love a bit of adventure and a chance to mix it up at a session. Bring along items you love! A fun chair, an umbrella, a lollipop, your child's favorite toy, anything! there are no rules at photo sessions and i like to do anything i can to keep it fun for the kids.

What the parents will get:

You will get two 5X7 inch prints of two poses you choose of your child as a thank you gift.

If you are interested or have more questions please send an email to [email protected]

Mods Note:

Would you kindly post a valid Qatar telephone number in addition to your e-mail address.

QL now has a policy that all classified advertisements must carry a valid Qatar telephone number. If no telephone number is added by tomorrow a.m. then the thread will be deleted along with any others that may be posted at a later date.

sorry i wasn't able to answer the questions lately, but i was traveling...

i will try to answer all the questions you all posted..

1- i didn't post my phone number because when you contact me through my email with you child age i will give you my phone number to contact me and find the best time to book your child

2- About the Qatari Childhood Photography competition i did before in my last post, it's already finished and it is was posted at the mall from the 2nd of september to the 8th of september

3- For this photography shoot i will be taking pictures of children but there isn't a prize, it's a group of shots i'm taking to make a photography gallery of my own and present it to the public. but the parents will get two 5X7 printed pictures of their child as a thank you gift.

4- I will be taking the pictures at my house so there will be a private changing room to change the children clothes.

if you have any more questions please send me an email to [email protected]

I was thinking about this and came to post the same thing... I know if you requested child models over the internet in Canada 1. No one would ever send the photos unless they were nuts 2. You would probably have the cops show up at your door in a heartbeat.

A little more info and credentials would be a big assurance to parents.

I don't know about the photo stuff, specially when he is not mentioning the parents involvement.

He better off in grabbing some Kent dolls and Barbie dolls, then he could do what ever he wishes.

Also, I couldn't find any information about the "Qatari Childhood" competition you said you entered (in your previous thread). Will there be a private changing room for the little boys and girls to change into their "fancy classic clothes"? Please respond here to reassure those with similar concerns (who might have already sent their children's photo) as most parents would want to know these facts before sending a picture to a stranger over the internet. Thank you!!

I have a very photogenic daughter but would hesitate to send a picture over the internet to someone I didn't know. I checked all the "precious moments" photography websites but none had the same email address as yours.... Thanks.

blablabla,

i'm not going to represent OUR FEELINGS about those children in poor countries through my pictures; it's all about emotions and creativity!

I wonder how you can select children from a wealthy and peaceful country to express feelings of the poor and oppressed. Where is the realism?
