Car Tint

I have done my car tint with out any permission, but now I think I should go and take permission from traffic by paying them. Can I take car with existing tint to traffic for the permission? Do I really to remove the existing tint and go for permission? If I have bachelor visa status, will they allow me to tint my car? I mean, they might ask since you don’t have your family over here, why do you need privacy of tint.
Any folks outta there have same dilemma?

cheers..

Same here, my wife's car has tints all around and was passed without any problem. Its only 20-30% though.

The inspector at the time of car passing, did mentioned about the tints and than I had to go and get the signature form an officer. He did check the car and signed off without any questions.

doesn't it depend also on the degree of darkness of your windows?

First and foremost, due to the fact that these days the Traffic Rules in Qatar have been made much more strict than earlier, I would advise you to remove the tint before you go to apply for permission from Traffic Dept. Sometimes they check your car before this is approved and if they find that its already tinted without permission, they would penalise you for it with a fine plus points.

Secondly, even bachelors can apply to Tint their vehicle windows. I am a living proof of this, as I had been permitted on 3 of my cars to tint the windows in the past with Bachelor status. THE BEST way to get this sorted, shhhhhh.... a big but easy secret, just pay up about QR50/- Service Fee one of those Sudanese agents there at the Traffic Dept. (Madinat Khalifa area) and they'll do the needful for you. The additional fee for permission to Tint is only QR20/- btw.

Any further doubts, contact me and I'll guide you... Cheers!
