What happens after a job interview?

I interviewed with Sidra Medical over a week ago. Does anyone know how long their interview process take? Is it a norm in Qatar to call for a follow up soon after interviewing or should I wait to hear from them?
I appreciate your input.

I went through this, just last month

I did email to follow up on each step,

Each time I emailed, I got the process accelerated and the people excited to get this done.

You got to be very professional on how you present your question.

For example maybe what you should write is a thank you letter that states your impressions about the interview and your excitement to join the team. Then enquire if the normal time line and next steps.

Galloper48,

Thank you for your feedback. Some countries protocol are different from here in US. I would normally do a follow up after a week without hearing back from my interviewer, but with Qatar, I did not want to be too pushy. Being persistent is good, but can cause a loss.

Friend sometimes and dependiong on the company after interview it could be 1 week or several weeks. Even sometimes you get a response on the same day you were interviewed.

A follow up call or a follow up email is advisable just to let them know you are interested in the position and that you are willing to think about a formal proposal to work with them.

But this will be up to your mood and desire to work with them. Give it a try, you never know, the worst that could happen is the to tell you tha position has already been filled but then you have the choice not to keep on waiting on them but to look for other oportunities in the job market.

And remember "if a door closes a thousand windows open!!"
