I have a vivid memory of my husband Urgh Jr. coming home with this 7ft sabertoothed tiger that he caught. Said he'd spent all day stalking it and wanted it ready in a hour for dinner cause the tribe chief was coming over, I told him there was NO WAY I could skin and cook a 7ft tiger in an hour. Well we got in such a row....Oh wait, you wanted LIVING memory didn't you? :P
i still remember scaring my aunts mom in law by telling her that i will jump into the well standing on top of well for some silly thing to b done in my favor.

still remember nagging about going to the beach to my father ... he opened the fridge freezer to get some frozen squid to use is as a fishing bait. I never quit saying we want to go we want to go and ...
I was standing beside him ... Unfortunately the plastic bag of the squid was stuck, my father asked me to move but i did not ... when he pulled that one another plastic was behind it which was a frozen beef with the leg bone that hit my eye brows and wounded bi could not see anything because of the blood.
Being a nurse my father stitched that part with 3 stitches ... After he was done i stopped crying and ... innocently asked him again ... Daddy are we going to the beach? ... and we went :)

When I was 3 we used to live in London and my dad and I used to watch the snow fall during the winter and the destruction that storm caused. I remember playing in the back yard where mom grew different colors of flowers and the neighbor's cat that used to talk to us lol.

If leaving your past and moving on was easy, no one would have a heart.
The only consolation is that we're all getting older at the same rate (although only some of us look our age!). To answer your question tho, I think that as we get older we tend to forget events until something triggers a memory...

I was sliding down a small hill of sand in our garden. My father was using the sand to mix cement for a shed he was building that summer (I won't mention the year, LOL).
I suddenly had a new baby sister and I remember her crying in her bassinet and my mother telling my auntie, "the baby is hungry and needs to be fed" and I remember going to the cupboard, taking a loaf of bread and throwing in on her. Take that!!! I also remember I was wearing a yellow sweater and was scolded for being naughty. My sister, now in her 40's has heard the story many times over the years and refers to it as the time I tried to kill her:)))
i have vague memories of visiting Egypt with my parents the family was on a holiday i was around 4 and i can remember sitting on a camel but my mum wouldn't let it stand or walk she was afraid i might get scared.
