I believe maturity level matters when it comes to marriage.

If it is arranged then make sure you are at the same maturity level as of the girl.

Since Girls mature faster than guys I'd say age between 18 and 22 should be ideal.

But definitely 18 and above.

Is it legal to marry someone below 18?

In Islam there is no such thing as age barrier when it comes to marriage. When our prophet Mohammed (pbuh) married Khadija, he was a 25 year old single man while she was a 40 year old divorced woman. Then when he married Ayesha, he was a 55 year old man while Ayesha was 12 year old virgin girl..

So go ahead and marry the girl if you want.. All the best

AGE GAP OF NINE YEARS MAY RESULT IN LOT FO ADJSUTMENT ISSUES LATER ON. I HAVE SEEN THE SAME WITHONE OF MY FRIENDS.

RELIGIOUSLY, NOTHING IS PROHIBITED IN YOUR CASE, HOWEVER, ANALYZE THE SOCIAL AND ADJUSTMENT ISSUES

Its upto u who has to decide. Think Million times before marrying anybody because it's you who is going to spend the rest of ur life with her. Doesn't mean only ur choice but ur parents choice too. Marriage is sacred so think wisely with ur parents , take ur own time.

As for the age, Its allowed in Qatar. In Qatar the legal age for man is 18 and for girl, it's 14.

quite honestly, the closer in age the two people are, the better off the marriage is. Think back to when you were 16...were YOu ready to be married, or were you still that gawky, goofy teen ager...well girls are no different in that respect. Mosts teens aren't even legal to anything until they are 21...so why marry before that?? Enjoy your life, find someone that you are happy with and marry them...please don't let your parents tie down a poor 16 year old teenager, who is barely past puberty!!

I am pretty sure that in Islam it is permissable for a girl to marry once she 'becomes a woman'

Stipulations for a man to marry are that he can provide for a family etc.

I am not sure of the law in Qatar.... but wouldnt a 16 year old girl be rather uneducated? Do you really want that?

When you feel the need for a wife get married ...be it 20 or 60 its your wish dude... we dont mind you marrying at all...

It's never too late.

But wtf aren't you looking yourself? You will have to spend the rest of your life with her, not your parents.
