i hope this ain't a silly question
just wondering about how would you say somewhere is a restaurant and another is not???
is McDonald's a restaurant? Chili's? Pizza Hut? and restaurant in hotels? all restaurant ???

In restaurant you get lot of variety of food. The aim of a restaurant is to make the person stay as long eating different courses of meals and usually ending with a desert.
The "Bite" available at a fast food "joint" is very,very limited. They dont care if you eat it there or take it away since most of the stuff they make there can be held in one hand. You are supposed to get in fast & get out fast...lol
Wow, geez.. I never knew a restaurant can have lots of things to offer!
Maybe I should try going to one!

Restaurant is the place in which you can rest , enjoy and eat your type of food , in which u can add , remove or ask for special flavor if ur food .
Mac , Pizza , Hardees , more to eat than enjoying .
friend..A restaurant is a retail firm that serves prepared food to customers.generally for eating on premises.but they indulge in many activities like take away,catering etc.. in that way pizza hut,kfc etc are restaurants.

So types of restaurants include: café, hotel, dining room, inn, coffee shop, sandwich shop, tavern, pub, steakhouse, coffee house, chophouse, tearoom, luncheon, luncheonette, lunch-wagon, hamburger stand, fast-food outlet, fast-food joint, fast-food place etc..
Macdonalds, KFC, Pizza hut etc.. can also be called fast food outlets
