"Targets were shiite pilgrims in Baghdad and manifestors in Kirkuk

Four suicidal women were yesterday in the origin of the attacks that killed more of half hundred persons in Baghdad and Kirkuk, according to the Iraqi police refered by the international agencies.

Beginning of yesterday morning, three women blasted themselves between the crowd of shiite pilgrims that were heading to the mosque of Kadhimiyah, in the North of the Iraqi capital, killing at least 32 persons and injuring at least other 70. Between the victims there are women and infants.

Already in Kirkuk, in the North, where there are fights between different ethnic groups, the dynamic is different. The victims of the attack, at least 25, were there to manifestate against the new electoral law in that rich zone in oil.

The attacks in religious cerimonies are frequent in Iraq. The suicidal women are more and more used like bombs by the sunite extremist groups.

Despite of the successive operations of, Iraqi and American forces in zones sunites as shiite, it is practically impossible to discover a woman bomb under their wide dresses.

Despite of a bloody day, the shiite pilgrims are determined to continue the cerimoniess, that will have today it's high point. "We do not fear the bombs. We believe in God", said Jassim Jihad to the BBC. "
