How I can get my Settlements?

My company didnot pay my Settlements at the time of Emergency leave.Due to unavoidable condition i didnot come back to Qatar.I left that company in July07.I send registered letter two times to company but not reply.So i need you all help to get my hard earned money back. Thanking You.

I was in a simular situation where my old work owed me somthing stupid like 1500QR but i wouldnt let it go, i called and emailed but they didnt answer me so i went to the Labour department, i filed a complaint, the next day they set up a meeting with my previous employer and me, the labor department told them if they didnt come the police would bring them, they came, we sat for 10 minutes, the next day they came and gave my money to the man dealing with my case and i collected it. So simple. Try it.
Why don’t you call your HR and explain you situation? In normal case your end service Benefits will be transferred to your bank account. Bank has got the authority to deduct you credit card balance and any others payments due from you.
Then again, if you did not serve the notice period mentioned in your contract, they are not obliged to give the full settlement. But you will be eligible for your gratuity, leave salary as per the Qatar Labor Law. Better approach your company through a lawyer.
My friend what is happening if your x company is with good history and reputation they should settle your payment and it could be only a matter of time,
But if the company is bad so they will never do a thing or even answer your letters and in this case you try to do the followings:
1-Send a legal letter to your company from a Lowyer side telling them if not sending your money you will file a case against them through your country.
2-Put your subject and problem in any possible media and ads. mentioning the company and its bad reputation and what happened etc etc ..
May be you can do a sort of success and good luck.

u should have approcehed to labor court before leaving for the vacation or should have authourised to some one for receiving ur settlement.
Ifeel nobody will help u here as it is not easy to receive your settlement amount from your employer. More ever you must know that life is very busy here and no body will find time to rush behind ur case. My advise is u should not think of ur settlement amount which u left here.
