I would like to know if 10000 qr enough to have decent living in qatar with no benefits provided. Please reply. I would also like to know a rough figure for the following services just to get an idea.

Rent ----
electricity ----
water----
gas----
petrol price----
cable and internet----
phone and cell----

Thanks for your responses

Stay in the US instead of this offer.

Rent ---- at least 7500QR for a decent apartment

electricity ---- 300 QR

water---- 150 QR

gas---- about $.70/gallon

You might want to consider food with the rest of your money instead of the below...

cable and internet----

phone and cell----

I would rethink the offer.

Bro, the 3 per year leave passage is for bachelor status.

Married status is given once a year...

You're better off to demand a proper accommodation rather than just allowance, otherwise you'll find yourself living in a small flat with the housing allowance they will offer you. the rent are quite expensive here and when they offer allowances for housing normally they give half of the amount of what they can spend getting you a proper accommodation. what about the yearly ticket for your family, transporatation allowance and free medicals? Good luck!

10,000 is only enough for a single person income living in a bed spacer. if you have family you need at least 15,000 to 20,000 + all the benefits like housing, yearly ticket for you and your family, medicals, housing, school fees allowances for your children (the schools are very expensive here).

i checked your profile.you are american?may i know for what kind of job you applied?cos 10000 really is nothing for someone like you.how many years working experience you have?and again for what position you applied?

d rent itself will eat all ur money... it varies from 7000 for a 2bed apartment to 15-20000 for a 4 bedroom villa.. its always a good option to ask ur company to give u accomodation.. petrol n gas dont worry.. its so cheap u wudnt realise..

Given no benefits like housing... and you say afamily of four you will be struggling unless some members of your family will also be working.
