Bahraini Visa

Have any of you been to Bahrain? Did you get visa on arrival? I'm Bahraini myself and I'm organizing a trip to Bahrain for my friends here in Qatar, but I'm not sure about visa requirements. I know certain countries and GCC Residents get it on arrival. My friends already have the Qatari Residence Permit but I was told they need to be here for at least 6 months to get the 72 hour visa on arrival.

My friends are not GCC Nationals :) Malaysian, Pakistani, and Indian..So I guess they'll have to be residing in Qatar for 6 months for them to visit Bahrain..

If your friends are planning to visit Bahrain from Qatar they should have been in any particular GCC country for more than 6 months as per the existing rules of Bahrain embassy. Hence i could not take my wife & kid to Bahrain as they had just arrived in Qatar in April.

Bahrain is real easy. If you have a GCC residency and your RP says you are a professional (engineer, doctor etc.) you can just walk through immigration and they'll stamp an on arrival visa. BD 10 will get you 72 Hrs, and BD 15 will get you a 1 week visa. The immigration guys will take cash directly, unlike Dubai where you need to go to another counter first to pay and fill a form, and then approach immigration.
