Resignation

I'm under husband sponsor and working with my current company for 5 months now and I am planning to resign as I am having a good offer with other company.
My first offer with my current employer is very low and I ask him to increase more. He told me that he will increase but I have to stay with them. I agree and he did increase my salary to 5thou. And I did not realize that I have a possibility to find a better pay with other company.
My problem now is can I resign with this company and how to tell him.
thanks.

Come on stop acting like you are a bonded labour to him, he has his priorities in life, wud he let them go for you, hell no, so return the favour...there is no harm in TALKING...so come on be a strong girl, and walk into his office...find him in a good mood and tell him you would like to talk to him about something...

Hey think like a Westerner for a moment and not like an Asian...they dont give s5it for anything and anyone...GO FOR IT GIRL!!! what do you think...?

By mariadolor• 1 Jul 2008 08:53
mariadolor

I think I cannot talk to him face to face, what can I do? I'm very afraid to talk to him regarding this issue.hehehe now i'm shaking....I just want to put the letter on his table and run.

Come on wake up, this world doesnt have place for any KINDESS...your BUCK STARTS AND STOPS AT YOUR FAMILY, so STOP BEING BAD AND A SISSY (LOL!) ANd walk into your damn bosses office and say, the lines I told you...it works, and nobody will feel bad, they will understand that it is for your family (and trust me, the priority Table is 1. Yourself, 2. Your Family, 3. Your Job), and they will also feel glad that you thought about them for which you have given a mnths' notice for them to find a replacement, or else Recommend one of your friends' for that job...SIMPLE!!! GET IT, NOW COME ON STAND UP AND GO!!!AND COME BACK ALL HAPPY AND GIVE ME THE RESIGNATION PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By mariadolor• 1 Jul 2008 08:44
mariadolor

you know my offer with the other company is 2x of my salary now.

I just feel guilty because I agree that I will not resign with them.

But when I think of my family I know this is the right thing to do.

GREED? I don't find it greedy at all. We're all here for work and you're lucky to get a job with good pay. So, go for it!

There be restrictions in obtaining CID clearance due to the process of Qatarisation, investigate this more before you tender your resignation. I have been informed that you may experience difficulties obtaining the new work permit. Anyone with more details on this aspect?

Lets just keep humanity and niceness and kindess for the world aside because you have family first...so go to your boss NOW and pick up the lines that I just gave you, and if you do it this way, there wouldnt be much heart feelings and offence taken by your employer...

So come on go for it Maria...

I do a lot of these coaching on lines...LOL!!! So when did you say the Resignation Party was...?

You can resign anytime under ur husbands sponsorship...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with finding a better paid job...

By chingumingu• 1 Jul 2008 08:27

I am just thinking of the future of my family. At first I thought I wil not have a chance to find such break. And also I thought the salary he gave me is enough for my family but it isn't.

Weigh up your options, also consider

"better the devil you know, than the devil you don't"

I receive my salary very late more than 2weeks late and at first I'm contented with my work but when he's starting to shout even it's not my fault that's the time I changed my mind. I don't have any contract with them do I need to give 1 month notice or less?

By ksarat16• 1 Jul 2008 08:19
ksarat16

You do have DOLOR sounding more like "DOLLAR$" in your name itself...BAd bad girl, greedy girl eyy...LOL!!!!

Alright, here it is, you can resign anytime since you are under your husband's sponsorship, and second, about the company and how they would feel, then I think too much greed isnt right as well, offers keep coming, since the company has already agreed and did increase your salary, small advice is to stay with the company,

But then again, who would want to stay when u r getting something better...

So in that case, you just have to tell them, THANKS, for acknowledging my request for increase in pay, but am sorry i cant continue in here because i have a better offer and at this point of time, my priority is to bring my family up and for that my ultimate priority is MONEY, for which I have a better offer...

However, thanks so much for having me here, I m ready to serve you with a 1 month notice so in this while you might be able to find someone to replace me...!!!

Thanks,

Maria

you can resign if you want but they will not be happy with that and greedy is not a good thing...he gave what you want...what make you sure that this other company are better than the other company? maybe you will go to from good to worst employer...just an advice...be contented if your present employer is not giving you any trouble or hard time stay with them...
