actually light was there in the freezer before. Once one guy unfortunately keep one egg in the freezer, next day it became chicken.... after that all the companies remove the light from freezer......!!!!!!!!!!
Becouse when you wakeup at 3 clock in the morning you can't open the lights of the kitchen and there is food which you can eat in the fridge but in the freezer there is nothing which can be eatet. So for sure you are not going to open the freezer at 3 in the morning :)
Fridge can be used for living during the summer but Freezer can be used as it is tooo cold. That 's why Fridge comes with a light to use those who want to use it. no light on the freezer as nobody wants to use it as living area. :)

Probably something to do with frosting.. the old ones would frost.. so if there was light, the ice would melt. but later ones were frost-free .. so no worry of melting...This may be the logic

I have to correct you- some freezers DO have lights.
But I guess that a Hot light and Cold atmosphere would make them blow pretty easily.
