If there is a cheaper way of making calls...why should the people pay more that also more than 10 times the VOIP rates?

Why should the people pay the Telecom companies who are reluctunt to implement cheaper technology?

Technology should be there for the good of the people not to inconvenience them.

The govt should direct Q-Tel to either provide VOIP service or stop blocking such service

its all about business... QTEL must stabilize for its existence... VOIP's technology oppose for QTEL stability... so therefore, VoIP must die... is there any entity who would stand for the voip against the call of QTEL resolute barring for this technology? this technology lies behind QTEL lines, and so therefore.. QTEL has still the full options wether to offer the service to public users...

The basic thing is they want all Expacts to spend their money here itself...One or other way...

As only Expacts want to call to outside Qatar...

Blocking the VOIP and sites will work for sometime... but its not the solutions. Qtel have to come up with sharing the advantages of VOIP to customers by providing Low rate calls to all over the world..

That will be a positive step..But for such a movement there need some gud decissions makers who wants to make use of technology to the benfit of all..

Qtel's IDD income dropped by 60%. They had to take an action for their survival. How to blame them :)
