Aside fromt he obvious, I have used multiple methods to get the internet up on my TV. What'll be really interesting is when I get the DS version of Opera. screw you smartphones!
I use my Apple iBook G4 and Apple MacBook to surf the Web from any HotSpot, but my fave of all has to be in my own room on top of my bed (also wireless).
Same thing goes with my Palm TX and Nokia E61 (via Wi-Fi). My Palm Treo 680 accesses the Net via its GPRS.
I also use the office desktop PC for surfing some sites.

At present I dont have phone line transferred at my new place so it on the bed very close to window.
