Hope for Change & Outpost is a non-profit group located in Minneapolis, Minn. It operates the Loveline Crisis Line which supported by various conservative Christian churches in the twin cities area. Their number is (800) 201-2890. They provide prayer counselors to help callers change their behavior and lifestyle. What makes this service of particular interest, is that they apparently do not waste effort attempting to change their client's sexual orientation. This may well be indicative of the future, when conservative Christian outreach groups to the gay and lesbian community accept sexual orientation as fixed, and concentrate on trying to convince their clients to remain celibate.

we have our ways of giving our symphaty, it might not be material thing but simple prayers. It good to reminds others like me and the rest of other Qlers but thinking that we gave more emphasize on the "gay issue" than the Sri Lankans issue as if it was wrong, then let's stop this "thread thing" and just devote QL to charity!!!!

You have your role and we appreciate it, but don't give a bad impressions on what others want to do in other forms of charity. I think everybody (whatever our personal conviction is) is having their own way of making charity or symphatizing with victimes of unfortunate events or natural disasters.

Sorry but am really sad to see QL so ignorant ... whoever genuinely missed is other issue but whoever read it and did not bother to post was shameful.

I also know that it is people choice to give donation or not and I never force for that it's an APPEAL always but my main purpose of posting a thread is to show OUR solidarity/ support or offer prayers for the victims.

There was another thread for PEOPLE IN NEED ... but no one except 2 - 3 QLers posted their sympathy and came forward for help for the Fire Victims.

At least 2 words of solidarity from QL to show that we are ONE COMMUNITY but i am really surprised with all of you specially the most active Qlers !!

We should not forget that on day this could happen to US also or what if we may be in situation when we need HELP !!
