Activities during Summer School Holidays in Doha!
Since this is our 1st Summer in Doha, anyone can tell me what are the activities happening in Doha for Families specially for Children and where?
Also I am willing to teach my son some creative work !! Anyone knows any such institute in Doha. My son is 5yrs old, he is very bright kids and learn things very fast.

Summer camps are conducted each year at the IAED, Mansoura; Kalabhavan, Mamoura;BPS, D ring road etc..,
Art is especially taught.
I believe that the VCUQ also has summer classes for older children and adults.
Try any of these .

There are several camps being organized. There was a thread on QL of a lady who is doing summer activities. Also QP has activities & there is the club. Also there this creative centre in Mamoura that does artsy things etc. Keep checking the papers, they will announce their activities.
Hey..there is a camp for kids being organized by ICC,there are two categories..your son will fall under Category 1(meant for kids between 4 and 9 years of age). The camp begins from the 6th of July till the 14th of August.
They accept applications till the 29th of June. I think they charge a fee of QR 500 for category 1 and transportation is extra.

On the other hand, if you are unable to avail that vacation benefits, just wait for announcements especially from the Oil and Gas Companies like RasGas.
Last year, they had had a nice Summer family activities in Al Khor.
During Doha's summer, you will find that there will be less heavy traffic because most people may have already started leaving for their long vacations.
This will make everyone's Family Shopping and Discount hunting really pleasurable due to less traffic and reducing prices.
For instance, this month alone, I have noticed that there are now 4-5 parking lots available each time I arrive to work, when before I had real difficulty finding one for the past months.
Ok.. avail your vacation benefits, and stay outside Doha.. some place that's not very hot.
