Hello there...

Can somebody help me out please... I am 4 months old here in Qatar now and all the formalities are already done...and next to that is bringing the family...I have a problem of bringing my wife here because she has a history of sickness related to TB (Tuberculosis) more than 15 years ago that made one of her lungs to have a scar (one of the 2 authorised medical companies in the Philippines concluded she is not fit to travel)...what should i do to let her come in to Doha?...please advise.

Thanks a lot

anyway, here is one story of a person who posted a problem similar to your wife's.

She is now here in Qatar and has recently been issued a Family RP.

Just keep on praying and believe.

Hello there....hope you still remember me...just an update...i have another question...

Taking my wife situation, i will be bringing her here in a visit visa(so medical in the phils will not be needed anymore); my children will be on original family visa...here's my question:

1. Do i need to cancel my wife's original family visa before i apply for a visit visa?

2. Would there be any problem with my children and wife in case they will be travelling together in a different type of visas?

Your advice is needed thanks...

I applied them (my wife and children) in a residency visit visa...that is why medical exams is needed before going out...would a letter from department of health a good help...?

.... if the 2 offices in the Philippines confirm that she is not fit to travel, then why don't you consider to give her some time to recover and postpone your plans for a few months? That will surely be better for her health and might easen the paperworks as well...

i think you can still take your wife here in Doha as a Tourist but if you will apply a residence visa for her under your company sponsorship she will go for medical examination too like for expat procedure (correct me if im wrong hehehe) just want to help :). Atleast you still have other options :), no need medical examinations for Tourist Visa hehehe. Or better consult your Company HR Dept. regarding that matter so they can help you to decide what's best thing to do about your wife situation.

Yes, if she is unfit to travel she should not travel- take care of here there. Also, she would get problems getting a Visa here anyway since she got lung scars from TB.

not advisable to come...if ever she can enter Qatar, government will send her back and it will be more painful to all of you.

My advice to you is to talk to that office in Philippines...ask them what does she have to do in order to be fit for travel.

TB is not a disability...there's a cure for it...and no one in the world can be banned forever just for having a history of TB

Try to do that (contact them) and let me know what they say and I will follow up with you.

If your wife is unfit to travel, why would you risk her health by making her travel here?

Yes you will miss your family but surely their health is more important?

Answer is there with your question...

(one of the 2 authorised medical companies in the Philippines concluded she is not fit to travel)...

So...Why should?
