Going to London

Hi all,

I am shortly leaving for the UK and i was wondering if there are some UK QLers (or others) out here who could give me some advice on cool places for indoor concerts and other tourism attractions but not that kind of stuff that everyone would go to and know about like Buckingham Palace or the London Eye.

Also, i am planning on a short weekend getaway in the English countryside and i seriously need some advice on that, preferably something in the hills but not as far as Scotland! (pardon my ignorance if such a place does not exist)

Be a liitle more specific...Ae you talking about going to see Bands, Nightclubs, restaurants, galleries ect

Outside London, you should really try the lakes. Its 3 hours by Train.

You can laugh at me all you like because I have Alzheimers, .......but at least I dont have Alzheimers

maybe the Lake District or the Cotswolds. Two great parts of the country and not as far as Scotland.

As far as London is concern where would you like me to start.... so much to see and do and not possible in one lifetime.

fantastic place :)

Covent garden is the place to go to see street musicians, carnaby street for shopping, trafalgar square for sightseeing and feeding the pigeons, soho for the markets, leicester square for slices of amazing pizza and theatres.

The lake district is fantastic if you are willing to travel that far, not quite as far as Scotland, lake Windermere is the busiest but there are others and the scenery is quite breathtaking :)

Enjoy your stay, am jealous, I love London
