oh... how sweet.. salary transfer alert!

My last company used SMS to inform us of our vacation requests being approved, our passorts being renewed, Visa request approval, salary at bank and sometimes also important messages fro the government. You might no like it, but most employees were happy with it!

a ok...probably most companies are now becoming in line

with innovated hi-tech information system...and glad that our companies are one of those

If this service makes the employee happy, then the overall cost to the company is worth it..

may be yes.. may be no...who knows...

qatarisun, are we working in the same company??? our company also just implemented this sms service thing for the notification of our salaries aside from receiving by e-mail. Everyone is so happy about this unlike before we don't even get salary slip.

Maybe QS's company has a tie up with the mobile service provider and they may be doing it for less than 30dirhams.. u never know...

Yes, I think I will like this service… it’s so nice to know that your company not only transfers your salary before the due date, but also worried of your awareness about it...lol..

Yes, but this makes management look good to the outsiders and also impresses the competitors.

But i hate their weekly balance statements by SMS as i dont want to know my money going down.

Obviously the company wants to provide a service to its employees..

Also depends how many employees there are, so costs may be bearable..

Will you be happy with this service or don't care.

Are your bosses good to work for? The reason I ask is that your posting sounded a bit cynical about the management.

this is funny britex...but btw, we have a choice to avoid this SMS.. they actually asked to provide with the valid mobile numbers those who does want to receive SMS.. or you can get it by e-mail, i mean your salary slit, or just refuse receiving any notice.. they are very understanding company.. they don't want to happen the same thing which happened to your guy...

There's always something. We did this in a company i worked for. One guy complained that his wife saw the SMS and found out what he was really earning.. he had told her a much lower figure..

I do have the same service with our bank but unfortunately debit notice is faster than the credit notice.....

for more than two years we are receiving sms on salary transfer from Our company.

al Hamdullillah.. i got so upset when assumed that they might deduct these 30 dirham from my salary.. i wouldn't be able to overcome it!

Now I wonder why i am not getting SMS alert ....

i guess my salary is being credited to some Blood Bank !!.....

our Company is worried about their employees and wants to make sure that everyone knows when they get their salaries... they even don't care about 30 dirham...

ops.. i hope they are not going to deduct this fee from our salaries though...lol...

Doha Bank also is using this facility, but I think you have to call them first for activation. It is not done automatically as CBQ does.

SMS alert is usually delayed in CBQ. last time, my salary is already transferred to my account but I received the SMS alert after 4 days.

all banks does

not all the banks do it.. look at AbuAmerican's post..

i know Standard Chartered doesn't do it.. maybe other banks as well

i was talking about MY COMPANY. So no matter what bank you are with, no matter what and how, you will get the alert from THE COMPANY...

so i will get the alert twice: from my company, when my salary left company's bank account and from my bank, when my salary reached my bank account..

they want to make sure I won’t miss it..lol...

you get all the notifications like Salary, Credit, Debit, loan , transfer and when you use atm card.

all you just have to call the bank call center and ask them to activate it for you.

I sometimes get credit card notice and sometimes I don't...I think theres a bug in the system.

Commercial Bank does all that for me as well....the only thing I don't get notified on is credit card use....but I do most of my banking online (because of my hectic work schedule)....its a nice feature...though its not new (i've been doing it in Canada for the past decade lol).

it is the bank who sends u sms within 3 minutes for every transaction taken on ur account as cbq sends me as well.

IBQ does this for me to. :) They also notify me everytime I take money out.
