Good fun area to live

Hi. I thought i'd post one question per thread to make things easier.

First one: what areas would people suggest i look to rent a villa in for myself, my wife and 7 month old daughter? My job will be in the QFC and the budget will be around
18,000 pm (can stretch to 20 for right place - fully furnished, utilities included)

We're looking for a good area with lots to do and easy to get around to everything, with the opportunity to develop a social life (we're British & Canadian)
I would love to be close to the water but i'm not sure if that's possible.

Thanks all. The West Bay seems like an option but expensive. Don't mind a good 3 bed apartment over a villa, if the facilities are good though. Anyone have any opinions on the Zigzag?

"lots to do and easy to get around to everything".. but anyway, i think West Bay would be good area. not sure about "fun", but it's good quality neighbourhood, and close to your work, and to some hotels with good GYMs, beaches, bars and night clubs, such as Ritz Carlton, Diplomatic Club, Intercon, Sheraton, etc.

and has different needs or priorities.

do you want a villa- stand alone or in a compound, would you prefere an appartment? Is a pool enough or do you want to see the sea?

Good area are in the centre but also 30 min drive from the...QFC let's say.

From our experience , until we weren't here to see how things are, we couldn't decide.

Maybe you have the possibility to come before your family here to check out things, get in touch with some real estate agents and spend a day or two to visit houses....
