Is return ticket mandatory for visit visa
I have applied for a family visa for my wife and kids. By the mean time, I planned to get a visit visa and bring them early (I am bored to death being alone in a 2 bedroom flat).
But, when I checked about this idea, people say that it is mandatory to book return tickets for people entering Qatar in visit visa.I can cancel the ticket later but, they have to have a return trip ticket!!!
Although it makes sense in a way, Just wanted to confirm whether it is true and are there any workarounds.
Thanks folks
So, what if someone is coming to Doha on a business Visa. Will there be any problems coming on a one way ticket?
Thanks
i remember you before you've got some problem sa visit visa mo?transfering into a family visa.may i know how did u do it fast. i assume na transfer nakasi andito kapa yata. i need ur enlihtenment
After looking at all the possibilities, I decided to wait for couple more weeks until my family gets their RP. That is hassle free.
am sure India Immigration Policy applies the same rules as what my country has... for all outgoing tourist and is implemented strictly and that they would have really to scrutinize a plane ticket before anyone would left. Probably, anyone leaving must show plane ticket obtain on a return way. That is mandatory and therefore it's TRUE! or else the passenger will be halted.
Meanwhile, as there are a lot of possibilities anyone could do in a manner that those policy are not violated, i guess, this is your point why are u asking comments from here, saving money isn't it?
well, as you were here already. one best alternative is you can arrange from a travel agency here buying such plane ticket for your family on a return way basis. i guess, acquiring plane ticket here is far more cheaper than those being issued from your home country. likewise, there are chances that you also .. if you're bit authoritative enough to convinced the travel agency to provide you such return way ticket at a price of one way. as what Cleng said... the return way is only dummy.

if you are in Visit Visa, you have to take 2 way ticket.
Its not US law, Qatari Law
I think, like usual, it just depends what country you are coming from... As an American, i had no problem getting a visit visa with a one-way ticket... although I did use the meet & greet service.
From Doha or from India
same with me queenct. last September 2007, my hubby also purchased tickets for me and my daughter from a travel agency here in Qatar but the return tickets are just a dummy ticket.
i just arrive last thurs.and the qatarairways back in my home country will not allow you to bored if you only have one ticket. it should be two way ticket. and the return ticket should be in purchased status...my hubby arrange that in some agency here.a purchased dummy ticket by is provided by the agency.altouh i guess we have paid a little bit higher.
let me try that..Do you remember by any chance where did you get that from. I mean the agent details.
in 45 days i am traveling to India, and return back in 2, 3 days, some time i have to fly to UAE or muscut, so i is to take a dummy ticket from India and use. Because most of time i have to fly somewere else.
when I first came here having a family visit visa, two-way ticket is required, since I'm holding a "visit visa" only. But my sister arranged a "dummy" ticket from a travel agency, just to show the immigration that I have a return ticket back home. When I arrived here, I gave back the return ticket to the agency, and didnt pay any. Don't know if it still works nowadays..
Thanks folks,
I don't want to take any risk as my wife will be travelling with my kids (aged 4 and 2). I'd rather wait for the RP and make her trip smooth and easy.
Return Ticket is must and if you are from India there is some provisions.
When I was coming to Doha I to only had a one-way ticket and was worried as I had read that I would be required to hold a return ticket. My husband spoke to personnel at his work and they obtained me a 4 week visit visa before I actually left England. Not sure how though.
visit visa requires two-way ticket (return). Otherwise, you will have a problem in the immigration
